Book Sales

The calendar below shows dates and hours of the Bainbridge Island Friends of the Library book sales.  The sales are open to the public in the lower floor of the Bainbridge Public Library, 1270 Madison Ave N, Bainbridge Island, WA  98110.  The great majority of our books are priced at $1-$2.  Most mass-market paperbacks are $0.50.  There are a few very special books on display tables for $2.50 and up.

Coronavirus
For more than a year, we did not have book sales due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 in the local and State communities.  We are now further lifting restrictions which were following the policy of the library.  Currently there is no time limit on browsing and shopping.  Masks are required for all which is a Health Department directive for public spaces. This is aligned with the library's policies. The schedule for book sales will be posted as they are set in the coming days.
What you will find
Daily, scores of donated books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs arrive in our book room. Volunteers work 3 days a week to sort, price, organize, and shelve these donations for our sales. As a result, our stock of books and other items for sale is constantly renewed. Over a year's time, we receive several hundred thousand books and we are proud that we have only gently used, often new appearing books on our shelves.
Buy our books online
