Volunteer !

Be a FRIEND - Volunteer

The Bainbridge Island Friends of the Library welcomes new volunteers to help with our activities.  Volunteers are needed in our Bookroom to help with:
  • Sorting books, magazines, audio-visual materials to appropriate sections
  • Pricing
  • Cashiers (on Sale days)
  • Floor Managers (on Sale days)
  • Setup & Cleanup (on Sale days)
No particular skills are required other than a love of books and a willingness to chip in and help out in a worthy cause.
At Bainbridge Public Library, contact Lois Reitz for more specifics on opportunities and time.  You can also drop by the FOL book room any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 1:30 - 2:00PM and a member of the FOL Board will show you around and take your information.
On the Kitsap Regional Library Website under "KRL Support", you can click "Volunteer" and find the link to an online application.  You can also call the Bainbridge Library and ask to speak with Tressa Johnson, Librarian and Volunteer Coordinator.  She can answer any questions you might have and help you with the registration process.  If you'd rather fill out a paper form, one of the Bainbridge librarians will print out a form for you.
